Service as a gubernatorial appointee is an honor the Governor can bestow upon citizens of the Commonwealth. More importantly, it requires that appointees have the necessary background for such an appointment and the commitment to perform the duties of the individual board or commission, some of which may be extensive.
The applications include questions regarding political affiliation, race, gender, and geographic location. This information is necessary to satisfy the specific membership requirements established by the Kentucky General Assembly to provide for equitable and balanced gubernatorial appointments.

FRANKFORT (June 27, 2016) – The Governor’s Postsecondary Education Nominating Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, beginning at 10 a.m. EST, in Room 110 of the State Capitol.
The meeting will be called to order and then will immediately go into Executive Session.
