Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives

The Governor's Office of Faith Based & Community Initiatives serves as an advocate, convenor, partner, and resource hub for marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented communities across the commonwealth. The goal of this office is to leverage the power of grassroots partnerships with faith-based and community organizations to address essential human and social service needs, with particular focus on jobs, education, and holistic health. This includes coalition building, statewide organizing, policy advocacy, and targeted outreach. The imperative for this office is rooted in the understanding that many people across Kentucky are disconnected, blocked, or unaware of the resources that can positively impact and immediately improve their lives.

Through the work of this office, historically disadvantaged communities in urban and rural areas alike will be better equipped to utilize state programs and funds, advance careers, maintain a higher quality of health, and have the tools to improve their lives.
