Western Kentucky Toy Drive

A Message from First Lady Britainy Beshear

To every person who contributed to the Western Kentucky Toy Drive, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

There was no better gift Christmas morning than knowing Santa had made it to visit every Western Kentucky family who asked for our help before the end of the toy drive. With the assistance of tireless volunteers, we even made some toy deliveries after the drive had ended, on Christmas Eve itself!

Together, we collected hundreds of thousands of toys and gift cards, bringing light and hope to families during one of their darkest hours and helping make their Christmas special, even though it was different and more difficult this year. We showed the world that the true meaning of the holiday isn't receiving gifts…it's the joy of giving.

If you donated to the toy drive and want to help Western Kentucky families in a new way, the best things you can do right now are to donate blood (sign up at RedCrossBlood.org) or donate to the TeamWKYReliefFund.ky.gov, which will help meet immediate needs for impacted Kentuckians as they rebuild their lives. We will update this page if communities need additional in-kind donations.

Once again, thank you, and Happy New Year!

Thank you to all of the local and national journalists and media outlets that helped spread the word about the drive, to countless teachers and staff from Kentucky public schools, and, of course, to the thousands of donors across the country, including large groups who brought toys from Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama and Arizona.

And last, but certainly not least – thank you, Santa Claus!
